For the first time ever, Americans spent more than $15 billion on combined surgical and nonsurgical procedures, according to the latest statistics reported by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Also, according to ASPS statistics there were 17.1 million surgical and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures performed in the United States in 2016.
  
Last year, there was an 11% increase in total procedures from 2015 to 2016, representing a $1.5 billion increase in overall expenditures.Surgical procedures accounted for 56% and nonsurgical for 44% of the total spend.

Andre DiMino: CEO of ADMT on Hearing Protection 
 
Andre DiMino is the CEO of ADM Tronics, a medical device company that not only works to bring a product through the conceptual stage, but is also involved in the engineering, development, regulatory and manufacturing aspects.
 
ADMT is launching three new products in the near future: the Aurex-3, the Tinnitus Shield and Sonotron. The Aurex-3, an electronic therapy device designed to treat the nearly 50 million people in the United States and some 250 million worldwide suffering from tinnitus.
