The refugee crisis has continued to inflict the world, with forcibly displaced persons exceeding 65 million, the highest since World War II. Nancy Lindborg, President of the United States Institute of Peace, has spent her career working in fragile and conflict affected regions around the world. On World Refugee Day 2017, Lindborg joined Bill Clifford for a conversation about getting ahead of the refugee crisis and what WACA Councils can do to help. Listen now.

"I was told to come alone. I was not to carry any identification, and would have to leave my cell phone, audio recorder, watch and purse at my hotel." Washington Post reporter Souad Mekhennet, a Muslim woman born and educated in Germany, has interviewed the world's most wanted terrorists from the inner circles of Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and ISIS. Hear her compelling story from behind the lines of jihad and her thoughts on why the Arab Spring fell short of its promise.
