Please Pray for

- those who are sick and suffering

- those who are lonely

St. Dominic,
Pray for Us
If you have a prayer request, please email [email protected].
March 1, 2018
Dear School Families,
I shared this prayer with the faculty and staff this week:   'Lord, catch me off guard today.  Surprise me with some moment of beauty or pain.  So that at least for the moment I may be startled into seeing that you are here in all your splendor, always and everywhere, barely hidden, beneath, beyond, within this life I breathe.  Amen.   (F. Buechner. Dynamic Catholic)
The prayer spoke to me because earlier this week my breath was taken away when I saw how beautiful Mt. Diablo looked with all that snow.  This prayer is my reminder of how wonderful God is to give me that moment of being startled and to have an appreciation for the gift of moments.
Last week was an opportunity for all of us to take a break and enjoy the moments with family.  I heard lots of great moments that our children experienced.   We are in the second week of Lent.  We are called to take in the moments where Christ is present in our lives.  I pray that you are taking that time to be in the moment with Christ and are startled by the joy you receive from your children for that is when Christ is present!
We are grateful for all the students who participated in the Dr. Seuss breakfast and donated a book.  This is one of our school-wide service projects that will benefit children in the Contra Costa County Foster Care Homes.

I invite you to join us for the 8:00 a.m mass, followed by the 5th Grade Stations of the Cross presentation.
In partnership,
Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

Parents & Our Catholic Identity

We attended the "Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial" retreat. At the retreat, we understood that just by being Catholic and going to Mass once in a while "when we had time" was not living our faith. We needed to have a relationship with the Lord. We needed to learn more about each other. We needed to remind ourselves of the promise that we gave to each other when got married. We did not have God as the center of our lives.

HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL INVITES YOU TO SHARE YOUR FAMILY STORY AND CELEBRATE YOUR CATHOLIC IDENTITY. CONTACT US AT: [email protected]

Your opinion matters.  We are sending out a survey on the School's Catholic Identity, Academics, Facility and more.  Please complete the survey by March 8.  Your honest and thoughtful opinions are important as we work together to ensure the future of Holy Rosary School.
