A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

March certainly came in like a lion! I pray that this email finds you safe, with power and no damage to your property. As I write this, power is still out in our school buildings and has been out most of the day! Hopefully the power company will be busy getting everyone back on track throughout the weekend.

We were able to enjoy the gift of reading throughout Dr. Seuss Day on Thursday! I loved seeing all of the book characters in the younger ones and some fun with crazy socks in the older ones. I spent the day as "Thing Principal", and had fun with various "Thing 1" and "Thing 2"s throughout the building. We had a Reading Magic Show by Joe Romano scheduled for Friday, which has already been rescheduled for March 13th, so a little more celebrating is still to come!

Thank you to all our families for returning the re-registration forms. This allows us to begin inviting new students who have applied for spaces. We are blessed with full classes and wait lists, so we are grateful for everyone's cooperation with the process. We look forward to a busy, productive March!

Peace,

Kathleen McNutt
Principal

CYO Volleyball
Volleyball is coming to St. Louis! All in grades 3-8 are welcome to learn and practice with the teams, but please note, CYO matches are for girls only. For more information, please see the attached flyer or contact Eugene Suwandhi tennisvolleyballsaintlouis@gmail.com.
CYO Basketball Home Games
St. Louis was again able to host some 4th, 5th and 6th grade basketball games this year, giving our teams the chance for some home games. We couldn't have done this if it weren't for the volunteers who opened and set up the gym early in the mornings and those who helped clean and close up at the end of the day. Thanks to Missy McGuire, Angela Keyser, Brandi Pensoneau, Tiffany Brown and tom Cross for their help!
Congratulations to the Hawks Cheerleaders!
On February 17, the Cheerleading team participated in the Bishop Ireton Winter Classic Cheerleading competition for the first time. Performing in front of a big crowd and many local high school teams, our team was so poised and impressive that they tied for First Place in the Elementary Division! Coaches Angela Moore and Judy Conti couldn't have been prouder of them all. Special thanks to our team parents Marianne Olson and Jack Lowe who also gave invaluable assistance that day!
CYO Basketball Sportsmanship Awards
In the St. Louis CYO program, we pride ourselves not just on teaching our kids how to play their sports, but also exhibit the highest level of sportsmanship at all times. We are so proud that two of our teams were recognized this year for the values they exhibited while on the court and towards their opponents. Two of our teams won awards from the Diocese CYO this year for their sportsmanship. They were selected by the other coaches in their divisions and while we are proud of every game they won, we are even more proud of how beautifully they represented St. Louis and all that our wonderful community stands for! Congratulations to our 5th Grade Girls, coached by Ernie Robinson, Debra SoteloMike Wendy, Paul Cuyler and Adam Berman, and our 6th Grade Boys, coached by John Miller, Ted Koch, Ted McGee, Brian Rohde and Chris Owens. You made us all so proud!!!
