I have started including the Revenue Committee. Although I don't serve on this committee it is important to keep you updated on these because this is the committee where major tax increases are heard.

HB 3458 at the request of Representative Jennifer Williamson
Directs employer in specified industries to pay greater of daily or weekly overtime when employee is eligible for both in same workweek.
Defines "workweek" for purposes of calculating weekly hours worked. Declares that employer satisfies certain overtime laws by paying greater of applicable daily or weekly overtime. Prohibits employer from requiring certain employees to work more than 60 hours in one workweek. Requires 10-hour rest period between certain work shifts. Creates private cause of action to enforce certain overtime laws. Authorizes court to award costs, disbursements and reasonable attorney fees to prevailing party for violations of certain overtime laws.
HB 2060 at the request of House Interim Committee on Revenue
Relating to employment requirements for elective reduced rate of taxation on pass-through income; prescribing an effective date.Catchline/Summary:
For purposes of taxpayer election of reduced tax rate for certain pass-through nonpassive income, requires net increase in number of employees.
Provides that employees must perform required hours of employment in certain industry sectors. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1,

2017. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.

Requires health benefit plan coverage of specified health care services, drugs, devices, products and procedures related to reproductive health.

Public Bill Notification is a new feature of the Legislature’s e-subscribe service. It allows the public to select and follow a legislative bill they care about as it progresses throughout the legislative process.
Go to the Oregon State Legislature Web Site to sign up for Bill and Committee notification. eSubscribe is located on the bottom of the page and under Committees tab.
