Yesterday, the Honourable Judith Guichon opened the first session of the Forty-First Parliament of the Province of British Columbia by delivering the Speech from the Throne. The Throne Speech reversed several policies of the Government, including new spending in the areas of welfare, childcare and the removal of a requirement for Metro Vancouver to hold a referendum for new transit revenue sources.
