We are ONE!!!!

June 25th
we begin our new life as one church family and we are celebrating! Following our first Sunday service together at the 127 St. location (Crescent), we are celebrating in the garden with a potluck and barbeque.
If it's possible for you to bring your own dishes, cutlery, mugs and glasses it would be appreciated!
Bring a lawn chair, a small dish to share and stay for BBQ hotdogs. Plan to come and mark the day we become ONE!

Important Financial Information Update
It is evident that it is unlikely we will receive approval for our amalgamation from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) before July 1st, 2017. Thus it will be necessary for each pastoral charge (Crescent, First, Sunnyside) to maintain its own accounting records until CRA approval is granted. The information below provides clarification on how donations will be handled in the interim.
  • If you are on PAR, you do not need to do anything.
  • Offering information will be kept separate, so cheques need to be made payable to the founding congregation (i.e. Sunnyside, First or Crescent).
  • Cheques made payable to Peninsula United cannot be accepted.
  • If you use offering envelopes, continue to use your envelopes for the balance of the year. There is an internal system to accurately record your offerings if there is an envelope number duplication. New envelope numbers will be assigned for 2018.
  • The establishment of a single administrative hub, which was scheduled to happen the week of June 26th, has temporarily been put on hold. More information is required, including technical, so the new Provisional Council will be undertaking a review in July and making a decision about a location.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Sharon Birney, Elizabeth Lehigh, Jim Sheppard or Val Austring.
Attention All Peninsula Wannabe Singers!
I am "doing" special music on Sunday July 16th and I wondered if anyone wanted to join me - with instruments, singing, anything!  I will find something appropriate for us NO MATTER WHO WANTS TO PLAY!  Please email me if you are available and interested.  We will have 1-2 rehearsals and with upcoming holidays for people I'd like to plan soon!  Thank you!

Join us for an afternoon feast and celebratory gathering. Cheer on the Skippers and Canoe Families as they paddle to their next stop at Ambleside in West Vancouver.
