In a move that will help it compete further with other Big 10 campuses, the Rutgers University Board of Governors last Thursday agreed to enter into a partnership to build a performing arts center in downtown New Brunswick, an addition to the community that will also give Rutgers the facility it needs to launch a musical theater program and expand its opera program. The development will include two theater spaces and will accommodate dance, opera, dramatic theater, lectures and other community events. |
