Keeping Up With Jordan and Mike

Pastor Mike has been doing routine pastoral work:   attending committee meetings, supervising administrative upgrades, visiting the hospital, working on sermons, writing, reading, mentoring new pastors. etc.  He will resume teaching the Tuesday morning Bible Study on July 11.

Jordan is home from a great Sr. High trip to Kentucky (last week) and keeping up a hectic schedule with summer youth programs, contemporary worship planning and practice, and overseeing the softball team.  (The team won their first two games this past week...a great joy...even though they were by forfeit.)  Be sure and ask Jordan about his new "roommate."

Community Prayers:

A young man from our community killed another young man in a fight...a Chinese scholar up the highway has been kidnapped...a political process is filled with hatred...pray for the vulnerability of people, for Christ to abide in people's hearts, for God to take away the power of evil to bring destruction to human life, for ourselves that we witness to Christ's way of life in all our relationships.
