Enjoy a great meal at Meatheads Burgers & Fries and support the Glen Ellyn Public Library at the same time. Meatheads will donate 10% of the net sales during the allotted time to the library. Be sure to mention the fundraiser when you order.

Saturday Movie Matinee: Sing (PG)

Bring your own snacks and watch a movie at the library. For kids of all ages.  Buster Moon, an eternally optimistic koala, puts on the world's greatest sing ing competition to save his crumbling theater. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine.

GEPL Reads: Supplies 4 Success
Now through August 21
Read your way through enough fascinating, scintillating titles this summer and you'll help in-need kids get brand new backpacks and school supplies!

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is partnering with Supplies 4 Success, a locally-based charitable organization, that raises money to give in-need students in Glen Ellyn District 41 and Community Consolidated District 89 a school supply kit and backpack. When the community collectively reaches this year's summer reading goals, the Friends of the Glen Ellyn Public Library and the Glen Ellyn Library Foundation have each pledged funds that will buy supply-filled backpacks for 80 local children. Want to Walk in the July 4th Parade?
The Foundation is looking for children to walk with library staff in this year's Fourth of July Parade. Children would help library staff promote the Foundation's upcoming  Jungle Book Ball. Contact Eileen Mullin-Gasteier, Ball Director, at  [email protected] to participate.
COMMUNITY CORNER
Food Truck Picnic in the Park and Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta
Saturday, July 1 | 11 am - 3 pm | Regatta Starts at Noon
Have a bite while you watch the fun on the lake! Enjoy Street Eats from a variety of food trucks: BBQ, Asian, Grilled Cheese, Pizza, Tacos, Cupcakes & more. Cardboard boats will compete in a race across Lake Ellyn beginning at noon. Winners are determined by the fastest race times. Recognition will also be given for the team with the most spirit, the most creative watercraft and the most sensational sinking.
