HAPPENINGS
Conspirare / Texas State Choral Conducting Symposium

During the week of June 12-16, Craig Hella Johnson participated as a lecturer and instructor at the Texas State Choral Symposium. Covering everything from the basics to conducting leadership skills and vocal pedagogy, he coached participants who had the opportunity to cond uct our very own Conspirare singers!

Craig shared the following reflection:  "What an extraordinary week! I am beyond thrilled at the vibrancy and level of engagement in this inaugural collaboration between Conspirare and Texas State University School of Music. The Conspirare singers engaged so beautifully with the workshop conductors. I was in heaven being in this teaching role which combined the glory of Conspirare artists with the opportunity to work with young conductors alongside cherished colleagues Dr. Joey Martin, Dr. Jonathan Babcock, and Craig Aamot. The conducting fellows came from a broad range of background and experience as conductors of college ensembles, community choirs, church choirs and K-12 music programs. Only two words can describe this week: totally inspirational!"

For the 13th time since 2004, Conspirare was selected to receive a

CONSPIRARE AMBASSADORS

Conspirare relies on the generosity and commitment of our volunteers to provide invaluable services for our success. Concert Ambassadors serve as ticket takers, ushers, merchandise sellers and reception hosts at performances. Office Ambassadors work at Conspirare headquarters on special projects such as music library upkeep, archiving press clippings and yes, stuffing envelopes! Ambassadors also house out-of-town Conspirare singers and instrumentalists during concert series.

We welcome new Ambassadors of all ages throughout the year, and our volunteers can serve a much or as little as they want. Ambassador roles are assigned according to interests and skills, and training is provided as needed. Your gift of time, energy, and talent is an opportunity to make new friends, give back to the community, and the opportunity to attend a performance for free!
If you like welcoming people and beautiful music, we invite you to become a part of the circle of Conspirare!

Please contact Kathy Leighton at  kleighton@conspirare.org for any questions or for further information.
If interested in volunteering in our music library, please contact  Jaime Leighton at jleighton@conspirare.org.
