Eid Mubarak! According to the Islamic Society of North America and the Fiqh Council of North America, Eid Ul-Fitr will be on Sunday, June 25, 2017, in sha’Allah. Eid activities are listed below.
Sunday June 25, 2017:
The Eid Service will commence at 9:30 with Takbeer, followed by the Prayer and Sermon starting at 10:30 (sharp). A reception with refreshments will follow. We are happy to have entertainment for the little ones by Valentine the Clown 11:15-12:15.
Saturday July 1, 2017:
Community Outing and Cookout 10am-4:00pm at Sycamore Hill Park – 635 West Avon Road, Avon (just 3/4 miles down the road from FVAMC). We will provide the hamburgers and hotdogs. Please sign here to bring drinks, desserts and side dishes. $20/family. Please bring your own chairs, tennis rackets, basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls. Pool access not included. $8 non-Avon resident/$6 resident to use the pool.
Sunday July 2, 2017:
Muslim Coalition of Connecticut’s Annual 2017 Eid Carnival at Lake Compounce Amusement Park (Bristol, CT) 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with meal time 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
