State Representative Emanuel "Chris" Welch, D-7th, and Alphas March in the Streets of Maywood Tomorrow!

Rep. Welch and the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Lead Anti-Violence March in Streets of Maywood!

HILLSIDE, Ill. - State Rep. Emanuel "Chris" Welch, D-Hillside, is partnering with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Rho Zeta Lambda Chapter to host an anti-violence walk in Maywood, "Alphas In The Streets." The event will take place tomorrow, June 24 at 10:00 am at the corner of 22nd Ave & St. Charles Rd. in Maywood.

"This year Maywood has seen an increase of violence," said Welch. "This march will send a message to those who commit violent acts that our community will stand up to them to ensure the safety of our friends and neighbors. Join me, other elected officials, community leaders and concerned citizens to show our desire for a violence free community."
