Cupp Real Estate, located at 127 E Oak Forest Drive, Bluffton, was recognized as the June Chamber Member of the month. Owner, Mick Cupp, started the business in 1973 and continues to have a passion for Wells County.   Cupp has a small, but mighty, staff which includes Karolyna Farling, who has been working with Cupp for 41 years and daughter, Tiffany Hoover, works part-time in the office as well.

ROEMBKE MFG. & DESIGN GROUND BREAKING
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce celebrated a breaking ground ceremony with Roembke Mfg & Design for their new 7,200 square foot facility. “The additional space will allow for more specific automation and more manufacturing space,” commented Greg Roembke, President of Roembke Mfg. & Design.

THE INTERURBAN TRAIL IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!

Members of the community, Chamber of Commerce, City Officials, and the engineering firm, Primco & the Butler, Fairman & Seufert were present to cut the ribbon at the trailhead for the Interurban Trail.

WHICKER PARK OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR PLAY
Members of the Bi-County Board, community people, donors, and supporters gathered on Wednesday, June 28 for an official dedication and Ribbon Cutting.

Gracy & Mercy Transitional Housing Ribbon Cutting and Celebration
Grace & Mercy Transitional Housing is a ministry of Community Care of Wells County. On June 2nd a Ribbon Cutting was conducted for the new facility located at 1001 S Clark Ave, Bluffton.
The facility will house women who are in need of short-term housing due to an abusive situation, getting out of rehab, needing a fresh start, etc.

Each individual will go through programs for life skills, budgeting, health, cooking, safety, and bible study participation.

WELCOME WESLEY TO WELLS COUNTY!
Wesley Chubb is the new Store Manager at Lowe’s in Bluffton. He is originally from Ionia, Michigan and has been married for 10 years to wife Elyssa. They have 3 children, Michael, Madelyn, and Hannah. Wesley has worked for Lowe’s for 10 years as well and has been at other urban, rural, and city locations.
“I am excited to be part of the wells community because of the true family community atmosphere that wells county and Bluffton have. What brings me the most joy with working in the home improvement industry is the ability to help people love where they live and help the communities love where they live. Wells county is one of inclusion and family. That is why I have decided to move my family here to Wells County.”

REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROGRAM AVAILABLE

The Wells County Economic Development has developed a revolving loan fund program through a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) intended to promote economic growth and job creation by assisting small businesses.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

  • Existing small businesses currently located in Wells County which are interested in expanding and improving their enterprises.
  • Existing small businesses currently located outside of Wells County which are interested in relocating to Wells County.
  • New small business which are interested in establishing themselves in Wells County.
