Here are a few resources to help you and your kids stay busy this summer.

We like the Kids Summer Reading Program at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. Lots of reading engagement and free lunch Monday-Friday for kids under 18! If you're in Philomath, check out the Philomath branch's  Facebook page for events.

The City of Corvallis offers a wide variety of children's activities. Peruse all the options in their Spring/Summer Activity Guide. Family financial assistance is available now!

Valley Parent has collected free, family-friendly activities available throughout the valley this summer. Check it out here.

Join Us at the Corvallis Saturday  Farmer's Market
Saturday June 24th, 9am-1pm

Stop by and say "Hi!" to the staff and volunteers at our outreach table at the Saturday market. We'll have a kid-friendly activity and plenty of info about the services we provide.  Spread the word!

Kathy Soderquist 
Administrative Support with a Smile

Kathy has been assisting at the reception desk for over 6 months. She helps with office tasks such as greeting clients, scanning, and record maintenance. Her coverage at our front desk during team meetings is priceless and no easy task! 

Kathy's smile, enthusiasm, and great communication make her such a delight to work with. We are grateful to have your positivity in our office, Kathy. Thank you for being here!

Congrats to our Graduating Preschoolers!

Fourteen of our preschoolers graduated on Friday, June 16th. We wish them wonderful adventures in learning and friendship in their journeys ahead.

At the ceremony, Teacher Heather returned as a special guest and led the children in singing along and dancing to songs. Afterward, each child got special time with Teacher Donna as she presented them with a certificate and a special photo album of the student's experience at Old Mill Center. 

We will miss you!

Thank You Mr/Ms CV of 2016-17!

Thank you to the wonderful participants of Mr/Ms CV for the 2016-17 school year! These hardworking students raised  $12,530 for Old Mill Center.
 
Each year, a group of twenty-four Crescent Valley seniors spend the school year raising money for three local charities: Children's Miracle Network, Jackson Street Youth Shelter, and Old Mill Center. We are so grateful for their enthusiasm and support!

Early Literacy Night with Relief Nursery
Over 80 in attendance!

On June 7th, Relief Nursery hosted an early literacy night for their families at the Corvallis-Benton Public Library.

Children perused books, played with play dough, had their photos taken against a magical woodland backdrop, ate pizza and veggies, and had fun with librarian Kristie as she did a special story time. It was great fun and each child went home with a book!
Thanks, Two Chicks for Change!

Two Chicks for Change hosted their first Shop for a Cause event on June 9th at the Benton County Fairgrounds, benefiting Old Mill Center. Shoppers could buy gently-used clothing for the whole family, accessories, and products from local vendors.

Many thanks to the "two chicks," Eileen Maki and Teshala Whipple, for supporting Old Mill Center. Their vision for helping local nonprofits is inspiring.
