Sunday, July 2 is an exciting day in the life of First Pres as we welcome Pastor Kellen, Sarah, Hadley & Hudson!
You are invited to wear red, white & blue on that Sunday morning in honor of our country's birthday, and join together in Stewart Hall following worship for a patriotic themed reception for the Smith family, complete with root beer floats and fresh fruit skewers.

Food Pantry
In June we are collecting peanut butter and high-nutrition cereal. All summer we will also be collecting for both pantries the following needed items: toothpaste, hand soap, women's personal products (pads), shampoo and conditioner. These products are expensive and needed.
People's Resource Center also needs diapers for children sizes 2T, 3T, and 4T as well as pet food.
Thanks to everyone for their generous donations

Video Volunteers Needed
We are looking for a new team of volunteers to video tape Sunday sermons at First Pres. This requires no previous experience, just a willingness to serve. Training will be provided. We are hoping to start videotaping with Pastor Kellen's first Sunday, July 2. If you are interested, please contact John Norton, Communications Coordinator.
Halverson Benediction Prints
While Rev. David S. Handley served as Interim Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, he concluded worship services with a modified version of the Halverson Benediction. The benediction provided a consistent reminder that God is present in our lives.
The church presented Dave with a commissioned print of the benediction that was designed by Timothy Botts; one was also made for the church and it is now hanging in the Rotunda.
High quality copies of both print designs are now available to order: 8x10 prints are $20, and 11x14 prints are $25, and a high quality copy of the We Welcome You Print is also available; it is 8 1/2x14 for $25.00.
You can order these ONLINE  or click HERE to download the order information and pay by check.

Mission
Abraham's Children
On June 25th, right after the 9:30 a.m. worship service, in Stewart Hall 101-102, we will share the details of our next fundraising event here at the Church-Saturday morning September 30. Once again our efforts will support medical assistance for the under-served in the Holy Land.  Learn how you can make a difference in the lives of fellow Christians, and others who do not receive adequate care for even routine medical issues and conditions. All are welcome!
Feed My Starving Children
Saturday, August 5th from 2:00-4:00 p.m., First Pres will be packing meals for Feed My Starving Children in Aurora. We hope you can join us! Anyone five and older is welcome to pack! If you are interested in signing up, contact Megan Zorn at [email protected] or
630-660-4800.
Tomatoes for the Food Pantries
Three weeks ago, the Mission Outreach Committee distributed 92 tomato plants and 26 pepper plants to members of the congregation for us to provide fresh vegetables for the food pantries.  Thank you for your response.  Your plants should be experiencing growth.  We look forward to your sharing of your harvest during July and August.  Our "Giving Garden" across the street has been planted.  We will be looking for help in "tending" the garden.
