On July 1, 2017, the City of Los Angeles minimum wage rate will increase for all Employees and penalties for the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance will begin. Employers with 25 or fewer Employees must also provide Sick Time Benefits.
Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance:Starting January 22, 2017, Employers with ten (10) or more Employees can NOT inquire into a job Applicant's Criminal History unless and until a Conditional Offer of Employment has been made to the Applicant.
