Wednesday Morning Acts Bible Study
11:00am-noon in the Fireside Room

MIPC Wednesday Night BBQ & Pool Party
Wednesday June 28, 5-7:30pm
Gather at the Dillons' home (7002 N Mercer Way, just West of the Roanoke on Lake Washington) for some swimming in the lake or pool/hot tub, lawn games, BBQ and fellowship as we enjoy being a community together. Hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided (feel free to bring snacks, sides or desserts to share). Donations welcomed to help cover food costs. All ages are welcome! Sign up here or at the front desk or email Pastor Lindsay at [email protected].
Missions
Supporting Refugees
After readings, discussions, site visits, and prayer, Missions has decided to partner with the following agencies who provide support to refugees both locally and overseas. For more information about how to get involved, contact Glo Ceteznik, [email protected]

--Refugee Women's Alliance: this local agency located just across I-90 provides a wide range of wrap-around services to refugee families, including day care, language, after school, job assistance and others. Interested in reading to preschoolers? Helping teach language or citizenship classes? Volunteering after school? Let us know!

--City of Glory Church: this fledgling church has just moved to a new home at Southminster Presbyterian. Services are in Swahili as the congregation comes from various East African countries. A group of us attended services there in May, and we hope to build stronger ties between our two churches over the next year. Our financial support will enable Pastor Lauden to continue his work. Watch for more!

--PCUSA sponsored Educational Ministry for Syrian Refugees. We are sending $7000 to this ministry, which works to reduce illiteracy and has established 5 schools in Lebanon that also provide medical care and food for Syrian refugees.
