SELECTING THE BEST SUMMERTIME UNDERGARMENTS

 

Summer clothing can look great or not so great depending on your "underpinnings." Having the right bra can make or break your appearance when wearing form-fitting, sleeveless, halter, off-the-shoulder or strapless tops.
  • Smooth-Cup Bra This seamless style looks smoother under t-shirts as well as the most form-fitting tops. Try nude if you are light skinned or black if you are dark.
  • Strapless Bra This is an essential style to own because when you need one, there is no alternative, unless the top has its own built-in bra or you can get away without wearing a bra.
  • Invisible Bra Strap Bra This style has clear straps so that if they slip out from underneath clothing, they will not be as noticeable.
  • Racer Back Bra This type criss-crosses across your back to help eliminate wandering bra straps, especially when wearing sleeveless tops.
  • Convertible Bra  This bra provides you with many of the above styles all in one bra. You can go from strapless to racer back to one-shoulder to traditional just by hooking the straps in different configurations.
  • Minimizer and/or Uplifting Bra  Sagging breasts not only make you look older, they also can make you appear heavier. Wear a bra that lifts you and watch the pounds come off. And consider a minimizer bra if you have heavy breasts and wish to appear smaller.
  • Avoid wearing Lacy Bras underneath sheer or form-fitting light-colored tops.
  • Note: If your bra strap still shows when wearing a camisole or tank top, sew lingerie tapes into the shoulder seam to hold your bra straps in place.
  • Lined pockets in white or sheer pants can cause problems. If they are visible through the fabric, consider snipping out the lining and sewing the pockets closed.
  • Avoid wearing white stockings, unless of course you are a nurse.

 
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Sales are plentiful now but discipline and common sense are required. If you have a tendency to get into credit card trouble, simply pay in cash. And remember do not buy anything on sale you would not buy at full price. 
  • When new shoes rub against bare feet and you do not have a bandage handy, use a piece of clear tape or a thick layer of chap stick to create a barrier between the shoe and your skin. and it will help prevent a blister.
