Moody Foundation Awards
$2 Million Grant to Dallas CASA
Dallas CASA has received a $2 million grant from The Moody Foundation. The grant will endow two volunteer supervisor positions allowing Dallas CASA to expand and serve more vulnerable children. Dallas CASA's 50 volunteer supervisors are experienced child advocates who bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and education to guide, advise and support volunteer advocates as they serve children in need. One staff supervisor can manage up to 30 volunteer advocates. The grant allows Dallas CASA to hire an additional volunteer supervisor in 2017 and again in 2018, meaning by the end of 2018 Dallas CASA would have the capacity to serve as many as 140 more children annually for years to come.
We gratefully look forward to welcoming two more volunteer supervisors into our growing organization because of The Moody Foundation.
