stateVT/NH State Meeting - Sunday, September 17, 2017
To be held at High Horses Therapeutic Riding,  Sharon, VT

Cost: $10.00 to cover lunch

Agenda:
Morning workshop: Grounding Your Core Self -  The Physical, Mental and Emotional Aspects of Riding and Loving Horses with Joyce Kramer, PATH Intl. Certified Instructor. Joyce will lead participants in exercises using Brain Gym, Mind-body and centering techniques, participants will engage in activities and exercises that if used in sequence will enhance the rider's functional ability in and out of the saddle.
Lunch
Afternoon workshop: Energy Therapy for EAAT Horses - With Kat Barrell. Using dowsing rods Kat will demonstrate how to choose essential oils and use energy in whatever spots need it most within the horses' body or energy aura. Energy therapy can be used to help clear the chakras and aura so that the horses can take in and give out positive, free flowing energy. As the horse's vibrational energy raises, the energy in the animal's environment lifts as well. Happier animals make happier humans. There will be a fee of $10.00 per person to cover the cost of dowsing rods for everyone.

Program News
Vermont Horse-Assisted Therapy, Middlesex, VT
We just finished the eighth season of our spring after-school program and managed to successfully and safely show off for proud parents and community members even amidst the cold rainy weather that's plagued central Vermont this year.  VHAT's big paint therapy horse, Mr. Benjamin Moore, will be in the local 4th of July parade for the first time this year along with several of his farm buddies.  And we have once again been invited to bring Benny and ESMHL Susan Mitchell's therapy horse Rumor Has It to the annual Do Good festival in Montpelier sponsored by National Life Insurance Group.  Lots of carrots and pats ahead! Thanks to everyone who helps make therapeutic partnerships possible.

High Horses just hosted a very successful benefit horse show on June 21st at the GMHA grounds in Woodstock, VT. This was the 7th year of the show, but High Horses first time running the show in its entirety. June 23rd High Horses hosted a volunteer appreciation event along with a very interesting workshop on Ground Training for Equestrians led by Joyce Kramer. The evening was very informative and well attended. Participants learned new exercises to be balanced and focused on their core and volunteers enjoyed a great meal and comradery along with raffle prizes.
