All In Webinar: Leveraging User-Centered Technology to Improve Health Outcomes

This  All In webinar will feature remarks from Karen DeSalvo, former Acting Assistant Secretary for Health and National Coordinator for Health IT, followed by presentations from three projects that are designing and implementing user-centered, interactive applications that leverage data from EHRs and other sources to improve the health of under-resourced populations.

The BUILD Bronx Healthy Buildings Program was mentioned in an AAFP News article recognizing their work in improving environmental conditions inside apartment buildings to reduce exposure to asthma triggers.

  • Hearst Health Prize for Excellence in Population HealthDue July 31  - Hearst Health, in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University, is now accepting applications for a prize of $100,000 in recognition of outstanding achievement in managing or improving population health. 
  • Empowered Communities for a Healthier Nation: Due August 1 - The HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) is funding the implementation of evidence-based strategies that seek to reduce significant health disparities impacting racial and ethnic minorities and/or disadvantaged populations.
  • 2017 Mayors Challenge Due August 18 -  Sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies, this initiative is awarding prizes of up to $5 million to help city leaders develop innovative solutions to urgent problems. 
  • NACCHO Health Impact Assessment GrantsDue September 15  - The Health Impact Project, a collaboration of RWJF and Pew Charitable Trusts, announced a new funding opportunity, which will award at least four, two-year grants of up to $100,000 to advance Health Impact Assessments implementation.
