TRASH AND RECYCLING NOTICE

DO NOT THROW ANY PROPANE OR COMPRESSED CYLINDER/TANKS IN THE TRASH OR RECYCLING BINS

It was brought to the City's attention that our recycling contractor received a load of recyclables that contained a propane tank. The tank was not discovered until the tank exploded on the processing line causing extensive damage to the facility. Luckily, they were able to put the fire out and no one got seriously injured.

Please be mindful of what you are disposing of. If you have a question about your trash or recyclables, you can contact our Public Works Department at 856-853-0892 or visit the City's website page at: http://www.woodbury.nj.us/city-departments/public-works-department/trash-recycling/, which details what the City will pick up and how other products can be disposed of safely.
