Midtown Baltimore's First Self Defense Series Recap
Midtown Baltimore's very first Self Defense Series class took place on Saturday, July 15. Instructor Damion Cooper along with his partner, officer Edward Doyle-Gillespie, showed attendees some simple, yet effective techniques that will come in handy should the need arise.

The next class is scheduled for August 12th at the Prince Hall Grand Lodge (1307 Eutaw Pl). Click here to register.

All classes are  FREE  to attend by anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Midtown Baltimore  but registration is required .

The Self Defense Series is presented by Midtown Baltimore, in partnership with MRIA and Project Pneuma.

Midtown Baltimore and Artscape Team Up for Special Camp Trail Project
Midtown Baltimore had the pleasure of assisting Artscape, the largest free arts festival in America, with a special project for this year's camp theme. Dubbed "the Charles Street Trail," this camp site features attractions such as the Dancing Forest, Braid Bus and Making Camp.

Camp Artscape 2017 runs through Sunday (July 23).

Interested is going on a ride-along with our Public Safety Patrol Officers? Let us know!

This is your chance to get an up-close and personal look at the officers on the job as well as give them your insight!

If you'd like to attend a ride-along in August, send an email to staceyj@midtowncommunity.org with the subject  " Patrol Ride-Along Request " and include your name, address, phone number and if you would prefer a morning, afternoon or evening shift.  Shifts will be scheduled in 2-hour time blocks and filled on a first come, first served basis.

The Midtown Community Benefits District is a citizen-run neighborhood advocacy and improvement group authorized by law in 1996 to provide security and sanitation services along with promotional activities for four communities: Bolton Hill, Charles North, Madison Park and Mount Vernon/Belvedere. Its efforts are funded by a taxpayer-approved property tax surcharge. Midtown was created by voter referendum in an effort to make our neighborhoods stronger, better places to live and work
