Hello Unity Family, 

 

We trust that everyone enjoyed the recent holiday and has been keeping cool! 

 

As described previously, we the board had planned to follow the prescribed Unity protocol for this period of reflection and the subsequent search for our new minister. This included engaging a Transitional Ministerial Consultant (TMC), highly trained in this work, to be the point-person for training and scheduling our move through this process.

 

We've never wavered in the knowledge that this work is not as simple as hiring our next minister. It is vital that we take some time for contemplation, and imagination, before moving forward with such an important decision. This is true for any organization facing a leadership transition, be it spiritual or secular in nature. 

 

However, based on what we have heard from you, as well as our own feelings, it is clear that this arrangement was not a match for us. We have terminated the services of our assigned TMC effective immediately, and are moving forward with a self-directed transition. 

 

Importantly, we feel gratitude for what we have learned already from this situation. The board feels more in-tune with what is important to this community, due to the responses that arose from these last few days. Uncomfortable times often bring the blessing of clarity. 

 

We will have more information soon on the steps we're taking, including an update during services  on Sunday.

 

Meanwhile, our collective intention is to always practice the principles we believe. Help us, as we will help you, to operate from an abundance consciousness, staying mindful of the reality we create through our thoughts, words, and actions. Join us in drawing especially on our Powers of Wisdom, Understanding, and Order, as we affirm our good and the wonderful future that awaits us.
