It seems that the Universe conspires to make sure that whatever we have been avoiding (consciously or unconsciously) is eventually put in front of us enough times until we actually see and hear the message. I've been struggling lately with my writing. The past 6-12 months have been filled with so many new projects, to-do's, and planning that I haven't allowed the time, nor put in the effort, for what I once considered an important part of my (big Y) Yoga.

Flashback to 3 weeks ago... the studio computer was on its last legs. We had known it for some time but we hadn't made a decision on what to replace it with. Finally we placed an order just in time, as on that fateful Wednesday afternoon Jody arrived with the new one as the last one stubbornly refused to complete the sign-ins for Jerry's 4:00 p.m. class. Shifting to a new studio computer was fairly painless for class sign-ins, but transferring the majority of my office work and e-mails to a different computer meant a little more time and effort culling through old files and correspondence. Thank goodness for cloud back-ups, folks! (Seriously, stop reading this and BACK UP YOUR FILES RIGHT NOW!!)

It was while going through old e-mails that I was reminded that I LOVED writing these weekly blurbs at the beginning of our e-newsletters. And, if I do say so myself, after re-reading some, they were pretty darn good! We get good at and refine what we practice, but I had stopped the practice of writing. I had lost the connection to that creative part of me which took the time to reflect and to put those reflections out to the world by writing them out.

Flashback to 2 weeks ago... I arrive at Wanderlust Stratton where I get to press the "PAUSE" button to immerse myself in various healing practices over 4 lovely days in the Green Mountains of my home state. I'm cued in multiple classes/workshops on intention setting and in answering questions like, "If I had more time, I would...." I realize once again that writing IS an important part of my (big S) Self and vow to put forth the effort to strengthen it.

So, here I go... committing again to a more honest, truth-filled, and creative side of my Self, which I know from reading old e-mails 3 weeks ago and pausing and reflecting 2 weeks ago, definitely resonated and supported me more deeply than I had remembered.

What might you be avoiding (or forgetting)?

Namaste,
Kristi
