Summer Campaign #OperateLikeAGirl Has Launched
To highlight the benefits of pursuing podiatry as a career, APMA has created #OperateLikeAGirl. This social media campaign, which will run throughout July, will feature one female podiatrist each week. Not only will this showcase the diverse field of podiatry, but also empower other young women to pursue podiatry as a career.
Sound like a campaign you would like to take part in? You can! Simply snap a selfie prior to surgery and tag us at @APMA. Use the hashtag #OperateLikeAGirl. We'll repost it! APMA is collaborating with the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine (AACPM) on this campaign.

Experience the Residency Rumble...for Free!
PRESENT e-Learning Systems, our longtime valued Partner is once again extending their generous offer to APMSA members to attend their upcoming Podiatric Residency Education Summit Conferences for FREE. This is a great opportunity for forward thinking students to attend THE central annual gathering of the podiatric residency education community, to meet residents, residency directors, and attendings at residency programs in a comfortable, collegial setting.
You will get to walk around a packed Exhibit Hall with companies showing the latest surgical and wound care technology, and sit in on a Lecture Program carefully curated for podiatrists in residency training. It is a great opportunity for you to learn what is most important among all that you are learning in podiatry school. You can also observe the Residency Rumble that you’ve heard about. This academic game show that residents from 100 programs take part in each year is a wild and fun event, but actually consists of questions submitted by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine from past board exams and therefore does serve a great educational purpose for you.
Here’s what a attendee last year had to say:
"These are great educational and social experiences provided by PRESENT e-Learning Systems in their tradition of excellence in programming and education. Looking forward to ResEdSummit East 2017!" — David George, DPM, Greater New York City Area
