This summer, while most of the weekly study and prayer groups are on hiatus, we're trying something new! For 1 more Thursday
, we'll gather in the McClain Room from 9:30-11:00AM for bible study. Our theme? Sabbath-keeping: what does (and doesn't) Sabbath mean? What does scripture say about it? How do we honor God in it, and how does God honor us?
All are welcome. Come when you can. No advance preparation required. The church nursery will be open and staffed starting at 9:00AM....parents of little ones need bible

Food Pantry Ministry Seeking New Leadership
We are looking for someone to head up the Food Pantry program at Christ Church. Could this be you?
Mary Anderson, currently head of this effort, is stepping down due to other responsibilities. We thank Mary so much for the passion and creativity she brought to this ministry!
As of August, this position will be open. Do you feel you might be called to help our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity? This is a great way for newer members of the parish to get more connected, or for longtime members to find a new way to serve.

At the 9:30AM Maple Park service, children are invited to join Melissa Durbin and Elizabeth Clemmitt on the brightly colored beach blankets for songs, stories, and activities. We re-join everyone at the Peace.

2017 Youth Mission Trip - South Dakota
July 9-17
This Sunday, July 9, our friends from Rosebud join our 2017 Mission Team for a
 Chicago adventure! From July 9-12 we'll be working and touring side-by-side in Chicago and then driving all together to Wicoti Tiwahe to learn and make repairs at their camp through the 17th.
While we're traveling, please keep us in your prayers. Specifically, please pray for safe travel, the health, and safety of everyone, that we would continue to build good relationships with our friends and learn from them. Pray also for the many, many volunteers, and hosts who are making this week in Chicago not only possible, but fun and homey!
Thank you for your support of our youth ministry, which makes this experience possible!

Lay Chaplains: Bringing the Warmth of
Christ Church to You
Trained parishioners visit those who are homebound, ill, or facing a time of grief or crisis. Lay Chaplains provide companionship and support, and may pray with you, or share communion (from the reserved sacrament) if desired. The chaplains serve under the training and leadership of our clergy. To request a visit, just call the office or contact Nadia 773-387-9128 or [email protected].
