Weaver Spring Break

Spring Break is March 26th-April 6th and Weaver school will be closed.  If you need daycare during the 2 week break stop by Kids Korner (Room 31) and pick up a yellow calendar/form.  The program is open to ALL Weaver students TK-5th grade. Paperwork & payment is due by March 16th.

PTA REFLECTIONS

As our Weaver PTA Reflections Program draws to a close, I would like to announce two Weaver students who advanced to the Orange County 4th District program and were awarded the Award of Merit on February 20th. Please recognize the following students:
 
1. Myley Fox - 5th Grade - Dance Choreography "Pink Panther" - Award of Merit
 
2. Ruby Yan - 2nd Grade - Music Composition  "Passing Seasons" - Award of Merit  
 
3. Siena Laws - 5th Grade - Literature - Home Base  - Award of Merit

Mark your calendars! All Reflections participants will be recognized for their participation at the Friday Flag Ceremony on   Friday, March 16th .   Weaver had amazing participation and has amazing talented artists! If  you have not had a chance, please walk through our lunch hall to see the visual arts and photography that is on display. 
 
Please also mark your calendars for the all LAUSD Art Gallery hosted at McAuliffe Middle School. 
Please see the attached flyer for details. It is a special open house event to recognize all students across the entire district who participated in the program. All art will be displyed. We hope to see you and your student/s at the event!

Honorary Service Award Nominations
 
A huge part of Weaver's success is due to the generous volunteer efforts of our devoted parents and the dedication of our amazing staff!
Each year the PTA presents several Honorary Service Awards (HSA) to recognize individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their service to our school community, year after year.

Please let us know who these volunteers and staff are and how their contributions impact Weaver.
The HSA nomination form is attached and will also be coming home in your child's daily folder.
Please complete the form and return it to the HSA Nominations bin in the office or email Lisa Searles directly at [email protected].
The deadline for submissions is March 23, 2018 at 4:00pm.

Early Bird Special!
Order your Yearbook before April 10th to get your book at $35 each and your ad for $5. 
 
Order online at ybpay.com, yearbook code 3684418. Save time, pay via credit card, and pay for your ads and yearbook at the same time.
OR submit the yearbook order form and personal ad order form by April 10th to get the Early Bird Special. Turn in your order form to the Weaver Office. 
 
On-line or paper order and ad forms submitted after April 11th will be $40 for the yearbook and $7 for the ad, and are also subjected to availability. 
 
Yearbooks are full color, hardcover, and include each student at least twice. 
Check out last year's book in the Main Office!
They are a wonderful way to remember this year at Weaver for you and your child.
