Diaconate Formation Program Discernment Sessions
Dear Pastors:
In September 2018, we anticipate initiating the discernment sessions for those men who believe they may be called to service as a Permanent Deacon. These sessions are required preparation for, and an integral part of, the application and evaluation process which occurs during the first half of the following year. Prior to participating in the discernment sessions, inquirers meet with the director of the program to learn about the discernment process, the requirements of the formation program, and the ministry of the deacon.

If you have men in your parish whom you believe may have a calling to service as a Permanent Deacon, please ask them to call Sue Huertas at the diocesan Office of the Diaconate by phone (727.341.6826) or email ( smh@dosp.org ).
