Heathwood Memory Care Facility Opening
July 13
 Join Heathwood Assisted Living at Penfield for a Grand Opening event on July 13th at 10:30am.
Heathwood will be serving refreshments, enjoying live entertainment, and giving a first-look at the new Memory Care facilities.
Individuals whose memory is impaired can take advantage of an exceptional program. In a secure, thoughtfully designed environment, specially trained staff members use proven techniques to help residents feel calm and at home.

Penfield Players Presents "Farce of Nature"
Set in Mayhew, Arkansas, "Farce of Nature" highlights one day in the life of the Wilburn family as they try to save their fishing lodge from developers and hide a Chicago gangster in the witness protection program.
Admission is free, but donations are accepted. There will be two performances: Saturday, July 29 at 2:00pm and Wednesday, August 2 at 7:30pm at Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Road.
Broccolo Tree and Lawn Offers Community Classes
Broccolo Tree and Lawn Care is offering free horticultural classes to the community. Classes are held once per month throughout the summer.

Two Great Golf Tournaments Happening in July
On July 17th, the 7th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit Shepherd Home will take place at Penfield Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament benefit this two-bed comfort care home for the terminally ill. For more information about this tournament, click here.
The 21st Annual YMCA East Side District Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, July 21st at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor. Proceeds from this annual event provide life-changing health services to children and families in the local community. To join the tournament, click here.

Wickham Farms Introduces "Little Book Barn"
This mobile take-a-book/leave-a-book
library was built on the inspiration of
5
-year old Nadia W. of Fairport. Nadia, along with her brother, Arthur, and a little
help from her parents, built the rolling barn and stocked it with great books from the Friends of Fairport Public Library and private donations.
The library is free to use and works on the honor system: borrow a book for as long as you like and either return it or replace it with an old favorite!
