a fantastic place for people of all ages!
What's an
"age-friendly" city?

A few years ago, the World Health Organization conducted a study of 33 cities in 22 countries and developed a  checklist of essential features of

TRAVEL TIP!

ITNNorthJersey - (TM) provides a community-based, quality transportation service for seniors and adults with visual impairments and need a ride anywhere in Bergen County.
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED!
Currently ITN has many more requests for service than it has volunteer drivers to meet the need.  Volunteer drivers help seniors stay independent and heathy by taking them to medical appointments, visit friends, see a show, or any number of other errands. Volunteer drivers drive their own cars to help others.

Being a driver with ITN is easy, it's fun, and volunteers choose the time and location in which they want to drive.   Click here for information about volunteering!

More About Downsizing/Re-Sizing

One of the hottest topics at our "Housing Options" mini-conference in May was the presentation on downsizing and re-sizing your home and/or its contents.  In other words,  de-cluttering!

Here's an article  that  gives you some terrific pointers. It references de-cluttering your garage, but you can substitute virtually any room in your home (even a closet) and get started.

This article originally ran in  The Chicago Tribune  in May and in
The Record on 6/11/17.
