There is Still Time to RSVP to the PTSA Annual Auction
This event is a great time to catch up with Cherry Crest friends and to support a fantastic cause - our children's education. If you haven't attended, take our word for it - it's a fun night and the only event of its kind on the Cherry Crest calendar.

Tickets includes: champagne and appetizers, followed by a 3-course dinner. So, don't forget, respond online by Friday, March 16 ! Click  here  to RSVP, then book a sitter and come out!

A limited selection of items from our catalog will be available for online bidding next week. All families are invited to check it out and participate, you don't need to be attending the Auction to bid.

How Does the Auction Help My Child?

Completely parent-led and volunteer-driven, the PTSA Annual Auction is responsible for raising the funds that enable us to continue our classroom enhancement programs like field trips and guest speakers that would otherwise be cut.
Due the success of previous Auctions, the PTSA is able to help fund instructional aides (our fearless para-educators ) that goes beyond what Washington State or the Bellevue School District funds! It is one of the things that makes Cherry Crest exceptional! These teachers’ aides are a significant attribute in our quest for academic excellence as they dedicate their time to all children through the classroom, lunchroom, recess and transition time. 

I'm new to the area, my spouse can't attend the Auction - should I attend?

The Auction is the perfect environment to meet other Cherry Crest parents! If you would like assistance finding a table with other parents from your child's class, or help assembling a ladies table, contact our Auction RSVP Coordinators  AuctionRSVP@cherrycrest-ptsa.org

Thank you for all of those who have already donated to our grade level auction baskets! Get your bid cards ready as our volunteer team is assembling some fun items! 

If you haven't had a chance to sign up to donate, please click on the grade level of your student and find an item to donate. Cash and Gift Cards are welcome too!

Vote for EC Nominees: PTSA General Meeting is today, 6:30pm
Please join us at the Cherry Crest PTSA General Meeting today.

6:30 - 7:00pm - Social time with coffee & cookies
7:00pm - General meeting starts

The PTSA will be voting on our 2018-19 Executive Committee at this meeting. The Nominating Committee will propose names as well as take any nominations from the floor. PTSA members will then vote on the Committee members. A quorum is needed for election of officers.

The 2018 Nominating Committee (Gina Davis, Elma Nahm, and Shivani Singh) recommends the following candidates for election to the Executive Committee for the 2018-2019 school year:

· Co-President:  Karin Hargrove
· Asst. Treasurer:  Belinda Chan
· Vice President:  Lubdha Khandelwal
· Vice President:  Jyoti Rasal

"Wonder" Family Movie Night & Auction Art Walk March 23rd, 6:00pm
Join us Friday March 23 rd  for a special Family Movie Night & Art Walk!
 
Don't miss the first movie night for 2018 to be held on  Friday March 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm . 
 
Wonder  is the movie of the month ! So grab this opportunity to watch this fabulous, heart warming movie and preview all the  amazing art   up for bid at the Cherry Crest PTSA Annual Auction on the 31 st  March!
 
With a mouth watering array of yummy treats to purchase including tasty cookies, candy, chips and more, Movie Night is fun for all! So please come along and show your support for 5 th  grade, bring a comfy blanket, sleeping bag and pillow and enjoy the show.
 
As a reminder, this is  NOT  a drop off event – Being a PTSA sponsored family night, no supervision is provided by the school or the PTSA . A parent or guardian must be on site during the movie.

Share Your Ideas for the Neighborhood Enhancement Program
The Bridle Trails Neighborhood Enhancement Program(NEP) Project Idea Submission Period is now underway.
Let us know your ideas on how to spend more than $350,000 in available funds for the Bridle Trails Neighborhood Area!
Ideas must be submitted online , by mail or in drop boxes by March 26, 2018 .

Article Submission Guidelines
The Cherry Crest Charger Chatter is emailed to families and staff on Tuesday mornings. The deadline for submissions to the Chatter is the preceding Wednesday by 7pm. 

Submissions related to PTSA activities and relevant to Cherry Crest families in Bellevue should be made via email as plain text . Flyers or attachments may be submitted electronically (only in PDF format), but will be included at the discretion of the editorial team. Send all submissions to editor@cherrycrest-ptsa.org
