Where are You Going_ Baby Lincoln_
Miss Jane recommends Where are You Going, Baby Lincoln? by

Fans of Kate DiCamillo's Mercy Watson series know the Lincoln sisters. They are the old ladies who live next door to the Watsons. There's the older, bossy and very-set-in-her-ways, Eugenia and her younger, subservient sister, appropriately nicknamed "Baby."

In DiCamillo's new book
"Where Are You Going, Baby Lincoln?" Baby finally has had enough of being under the thumb of her older sister, so she sets out on what she calls a "necessary journey." Over Eugenia's objections, Baby packs a suitcase and gets on a train headed for who knows where. It is the first time Baby has ever done anything by herself. What happens? Who does she meet? Where does she end up? The "necessary journey" is a satisfying ride for both Baby and the young reader.
