Music Man Kids

"The Music Man" KIDS featuring students in 2nd - 8th grade is Thursday, March 15th and Friday, March 16th at 6:00 pm in Trojan Hall.  Tickets are $5 in advance or at the door and may be purchased from the lower school office or the front office.

Tattnall Day at Stevi B's Tomorrow

Tuesday, March 13 is Tattnall Day at Stevi B's! Stop by from 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Identify yourself as a Tattnall supporter and Stevi B's will donate 10% of sales to TSA! 


Ecology Action Club Receives Award

The Ecology Action Club was presented with the Litter Prevention Award at the annual Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Luncheon Friday, March 9. This award  is given to the business that sets a high standard in the prevention and control of litter in the community and is presented by the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission. Ecology Action Club President Jacob Bridgeman, Vice-President Brooke Reno along with Sponsor Candace Bridges accepted the award.

Student Council Raises $485 for MDA

TSA's Middle and High School Student Council raised $485 for Muscular Dystrophy Association.  We have had two students at Tattnall, Scott Webb '94 and Phelps Wade '97, who were afflicted with MD. For this reason, our Student Council decided several years ago to make the sale of shamrocks one of our service projects for the year.

Brooke Reno Breaks School Record

Congratulations to  Brooke Reno  for setting the career record with 97 soccer goals scored at the game against Jones County!


2019 Europe Trip Meeting

Tattnall parents and 9-12 students who are interested in traveling to Europe in 2019 have a meeting at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 20 in room 112. Please RSVP to John Hankinson at john.hankinson@tattnall.org so there will be enough room to accommodate everyone.

Paws for Books Book Fair

The "Paws for Books" Book Fair begins Monday, April 2 and ends Friday, April 6. The Media Center will be open to shop each day from 8:00 - 3:45 pm. 

" Summer at The Square" is open to the community and includes a wide variety of day camps for children of all ages! Camps begin at the end of May and last through August. Each camp is taught by individual faculty members or TSA coaches.  Summer camps are a great way to stay active during the  summer months while learning and having fun!

Goodwill Drive

Goodwill has partnered with Tattnall, Stratford, and FPD elementary schools to participate in a school drive. Students can bring donations to Goodwill's drive-through donation centers throughout the Macon area from  April 14-22 . Donation centers are open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm. Requested donation items include clothing, shoes, housewares and linens.   

As a part of the school drive, students will be given two tickets with their classroom teacher's name to give to the attendant when they drop off their donations. These tickets will be calculated and the classroom in each school with the highest participation rate will receive a prize!
Counselor's Corner

The Navicent Health Teen Volunteer Program is now accepting applications for students who are at least 16 years old.  See Mrs. Clay for an application and requirements packet.

Deadlines are approaching!

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting a National College Fair Sunday, March 25 12:30 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for students to meet with representatives from hundreds of colleges and universities to learn more about the college admissions process. Learn more and register at www.nacacfairs.org/atlanta

The Volunteer Program at Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital are offering scholarships of $1000 to seniors and post-secondary students aspiring to be nurses, health occupation professionals as well as those interested in healthcare administration.  See Mrs. Clay for an application. The deadline to apply is March 16.

March 21 is the deadline for 7th grade students to apply for the Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program , a selective 5-year pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th grade students with a financial need.  It provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for school, Cooke-sponsored summer programming , internships, and other learning enrichment opportunities that may benefit students during their high school years. The  Peyton Anderson Foundation is offering scholarships for seniors.  Visit  www.peytonandersonscholars.org for the application.  The deadline to apply is  March 23.

The  Kiwanis Club is offering the $1000  Hamilton Holt Kiwanis Scholarship  for seniors who are residents of Bibb County.  See Mrs. Clay or  maconkiwanis.org  for an application. The deadline to apply is  April 19.

Tattnall Athletics

Varsity soccer plays at Stratford tonight. Girls play at 5:30; Boys play at 7:30. Come out and support our Trojans!

Congratulations to our Middle School Soccer Boys for defeating Stratford 5-0 Saturday morning! 

Congratulations to oubaseball teams. The Middle School Baseball Team beat Stratford 7-2 and 5-4 in their doubleheader Saturday. The Varsity Baseball Team improved 11-2 on the season. They defeated Athens Christian 5-0 and Walker 7-2 during "Diamond Day at the Square" Saturday. 

JV and Varsity Baseball play home games against Stratford Tuesday, March 13. JV plays at 4:00; Varsity plays at 7:00 pm.

"Effective Parenting in a Defective World" Session 3

As parents our desire is to see our child reach their full potential in life. Unless the definition of success takes God's word into consideration, the results could be disastrous. God has a plan (a dream) for your children, and He wants to share it with all of us through His word. This Wednesday night we will be learning and discussing "How to Develop Your Child's Full Potential." It's never too late to join us for an awesome time of fellowship and discussion.
