The Canadian Jewish Experience

The Canadian Jewish Experience, was developed for  the sesquicentennial and opened in Ottawa this spring. Calgarian  Sandra Morton Weizman did the research and writing for the exhibit. The e xhibit will be on display at the Calgary JCC until July 6.

Tisha B'av, the fast of the Ninth of Av, is observed each year as a day of mourning and commemoration by Jews worldwide. Please join us Monday night as we recite the Megillah of Eicha (Lamentations). Please remember to bring a flashlight.  August 1st is a fast day with prayer services. Please note that during the August 1st Mincha service at 6:00pm we don tefillin and read the special prayer "Nachem" for the only time during the year in anticipation of the redemption of the Jewish people.
