REGION VII SESSION PROPOSALS
Region VII has extended the deadline for regular session proposals until JUNE 22nd.
Given strong regional interest, the original deadline's proximity to the NAFSA conference and 45+ pending submissions, we hope this extra week is helpful. We look forward to reviewing all the proposals to create a rich and diverse conference for you this October!
REGULAR Session Presentations Are:
the essence of our conference and your chance to showcase your knowledge, ideas, initiatives, approaches, challenges and successes
can be presented solo, by 2-3 peers, as a panel or discussion
considered for the "Regional Highlight" which automatically go to the NAFSA Conference
EXTENDED Deadline to submit proposal: June 22nd
POSTER Session Presentations Are:
a wonderful way to engage one-on-one with attendees.
allow you to receive direct eye-level, handshake, verbal feedback.
are less intimidating and more personal than traditional sessions.
a great way to provide newcomers confidence, experience and contacts.
an efficient way to showcase more specific data, methods, pedagogy, and programs in a smaller, visual, "elevator speech" approach. Handouts are welcome!
Deadline to submit proposal: July 14th
WHAT IS A SESSION PROPOSAL?
Proposals are snapshot abstracts of your ideas with a simply stated overview and learning objectives. Develop the full presentation after notification of selection. Good sessions from state conferences and NAFSA are welcome.
