Georgina Economic Development Updates
Expression of Interest for the Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC).MURC

The Corporation of the Town of Georgina is undertaking the development of a new Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC) in south Keswick.

An Expression of Interest (EOI) has been issued and is an opportunity for community groups, public sector agencies, developers, commercial partners, and community partners to convey their interest in this project and how they could be part of the initiative.

To ensure the development of the new facility meets community needs, the Town is seeking EOI submissions from interested parties who can contribute to the facility and community experience through capital investment, partnership opportunities, leasing space or the provision of services that meet the needs of offering an active healthy lifestyle facility.

The EOI has been issued to assess in a fair, equitable and transparent manner what partnership opportunities may be available to support the development and/or operation of this new facility. Any pricing that may be provided by the Respondent will be used for budget purposes only as no awards will be made on this EOI.

This is not a design exercise, however, the design work will commence in 2017. It is important to know all of the space needs from interested parties that will contribute to the final design.

Should you or your Organization be interested in learning more about partnership opportunities, please Click Here and look for RC2017-032 - Multi-Use Recreation Complex - Facility Partnership Considerations.
