Another Spaghetti Dinner is in the books, which means for me another year of being thankful, grateful, and blessed to have a church that cares and values their youth ministry program so much. We are excited to have a group for around 25 youth and adults preparing to head out this summer on our mission trip to Virginia Beach. The fundraising efforts are always fun and challenging, whether it's food or flamingo related. Once again, I want to thank John Marra and the Stewards of Fellowship class for their efforts and assistance in pulling off another great fundraiser for the Uth.

J.O.Y. Fellowship Meets This Week!

Young Adult Event: Next Sunday
Sunday, March 18th
Are you an adult? Are you "young"? Are you considered a young adult?  Better yet, do you like pizza?
If you say yes to any of these questions, feel free to join Pastor Jeremy for a new quarterly gathering over some pizza pie. Each time we meet we will explore a new place to dine as well as new biblical topics to discuss. Meet at the church at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18th, for our first gathering.

New Membership
New members will be received on Sunday, March 25, in conjunction with the Confirmation class. If you are interested in joining Forrest Burdette through profession of faith or transfer of membership, please speak with Ellis or Jeremy.

Easter Lilies & Easter Eggs
Please click here for the Lenten order form that includes both Easter lilies and chocolate Easter eggs. 7" lilies (double) are $18.50 and may be taken home after the Easter service.  Plants may be given in memory or in honor of loved ones, or a donation may be given to the building fund instead of purchasing a plant. UMW chocolate eggs are $3.50 each and are available in milk, dark, or white chocolate in all 5 flavors: cherry nut, coconut, maple nut, peanut butter, or vanilla.  Egg orders will be ready on March 24.

Children's Easter Party
Wednesday, March 28, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
This Easter instead of hunting eggs, we'll be hunting clues.  We are inviting the community to join us as we look for Jesus in a scavenger hunt throughout the building.  Kids will find objects in rooms that will help tell parts of the story of Jesus. When they uncover the whole story they will unlock a bigger prize in the gym and hopefully in their lives!
We need volunteers to: help guide families around the building; stay in one room and tell part of Jesus' story; and supervise kids in the gym. Contact Jayné Kirk to help out (304-562-5903).

Construction Update
This week they have continued to work on the kitchen area with details mostly with plumbing and duct work. Work is being done in Byrd Hall both inside and outside. The exterior studs are going up on the north end and will start closing in next week. Also, weather permitting, work will continue on the canopy in front of the new building. Forward progress to serve in the future.
