It's summer! And many people are buying up sunscreen before they hit the outdoors for some fun. However, sunscreen should not be your only protection against the sun and it needs to be used properly. Be sun-wise!
Keep these tips in mind when you head outside:
- Minimize your time spent outside in the sun during the middle of the day, when you are more likely to be burned
- Utilize shade and clothing as additional protection
- Remember that sunscreen needs to be applied frequently to work well
