Major Support Announced for College-Community Downtown Theatre Project
Thanks to the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, a $500,000 grant from the Midland, Michigan-based foundation will help turn two buildings, 117 and 119 S. Superior St., into a new shared-use studio/theatre facility that will serve Albion College students, faculty and staff in addition to the community as a local youth and adult community theatre. Austin Baidas, ’92, Finds His Way Home as an Albion Visiting Scholar
Austin Baidas, ’92, recently shared his experience and background in business and politics with Albion students as a visiting scholar. He is the first alumnus to participate in the budding College initiative, and it seemed to resonate with the students. “Two decades or so ago, I was sitting in their position," he said. Consider your family, neighbors, friends, children of co-workers, members of your religious community, civic groups, and others whom you feel would be great fits for Albion College. It doesn't have to end with the referral! Our portal allows users to follow prospective and admitted students through the entire admission cycle. 60 Brits met at Bodman Law Firm at Ford Field to hear from Allison Maki, ’97, Nick Cucinella, ’01, and trustee Faith Fowler, ’81. Attendees got to hear how their fellow alumni are changing Detroit and what lessons we can take back to help Albion. Special thanks to trustee Steve Greenhalgh, ’74, for hosting and Professors Cliff Harris and Karen Erlandson for moderating.

Alumni gathered in Charlottesville, VA for an intimate evening of holiday merriment. A special thank you is owed to Kathryn Bundy, ’79, who hosted the event at her beautiful Foxfield Inn.
