2010 Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design

This session will focus on the ADA standards for accessible route design, both within a building and the building site. The discussion will cover requirements for state and local government facilities, as well as public accommodations and commercial facilities. Alterations to existing facilities will also be covered.

Life Safety Code

NFPA 101 – 4 Hour Life Safety Code Session, is issued by NFPA and has been approved as an American National Standard, and adopted by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. 
This session will cover the major core chapters of the 2015 Life Safety Code.

• General Goals, Objectives, Options
• Classification of Occupancy and Hazards of Contents
• Means of Egress
• Building Services (Smoke Control, Elevators, etc.)
Attendees should have an intermediate level of NFPA 101 knowledge, and basic understanding of the structure, goals and objectives with this code. Presentation will be in the form of PowerPoint slides and verbal instructional discussions. It is highly recommended that attendee bring a copy of the 2015 NFPA 101 to this class.
