North Star Happenings

Hopefully you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having and have planned your summer camping opportunities for your Scouts.  If not, we have a variety of camps that will meet the needs of all ages.  The Cub Day Camp with Bug Hunter theme is great for younger Scouts and a great opportunity for Tiger Cubs to earn their first rank!  The Adventure Camp and Webelos Weekend is geared toward older Scouts that have experienced Cub Day Camp and need a greater adventure and longer camping opportunity in preparation for their next BIG adventure, crossing over to Boy Scouts!  Boy Scout camp really highlights the patrol method and gives young men an opportunity to experience life and leadership skills all while completing Merit Badge work integral to their program.

The Day Camps are going to have a Bug Hunter theme where they get to learn about the things that crawl and buzz.

Summer Camp has a new challenge for the boys that will challenge both their skills in design and their ability to work as a team.  The hint of what it might be is "Something from Rome."   Remember to book your Troops and Packs early to take advantage of that early bird deal!

Pack 3219 and Troop 219 participated in Scouting for Food.  What a great way to contribute to your communities' food panties to combat local hunger.  It's not too late; orchestra your own unit's food drive.
