Victor de Los Santos
(BA '07) was a finalist for the 2018 Grammy Music Educator Award. The band director at Santa Ana High School was the only music teacher in Southern California to be chosen for the honor. De los Santos currently has 167 students and runs seven ensembles. His jazz ensemble has played with the likes of Poncho Sanchez and Arturo Sandoval.

Patti "Peejay" Brun
(MA '02)
was named the University of Texas at Arlington's new head softball coach. For nine of the past 11 years, Brun had been assistant coach of softball at Texas State University. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons she was the head coach at the University of Hawai'I at Hilo.

Felena Hanson
(MBA '01) was featured in the San Diego Business Journal's San Diego 500, featuring influential San Diego business people. Hanson is the founder of Hera Hub, an international shared workspace for female entrepreneurs. Hera Hub has locations in Carlsbad, Mission Valley, Sorrento Valley, Washington D.C., Phoenix and Sweden.

Joshua Castellanos
(BA '06) has been named executive director of public affairs and marketing at Long Beach City College. He oversees strategic communications, marketing and expanded outreach efforts for LBCC. Previously, he was president/CEO of the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Business Advisory Council for South East Los Angeles Workforce Development Board (SELACO WDB).

Ali Wood Lamberson
(MA '03) was appointed to the Tulane University beach volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant coach. Lamberson returns to the Green Wave after spending the previous two seasons at USC, where she was an assistant coach and helped lead the program to a 2016 and 2017 NCAA National Championship.

Stephanie Shane
(MS '12), founder of the Pass the OT program, is celebrating five years of helping occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students pass the NBCOT® exam. Since 2013, Pass the OT has helped more than 1,500 students from over 175 colleges and universities pass the NBCOT® exam.

Mark Tackmann
(BS '95), was named managing partner of Gelman LLP, a California certified public accounting and business advisory firm. He has 23 years of experience in public accounting, and worked with Gelman LLP previously. Tackmann is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Steven Moreau
(MS '80)
passed away on July 7, 2017. He was born in Inglewood, California, and spent 14 years as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Hoag Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach. Later, he became CEO at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland and finally as president of St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, where he recently retired. He held board positions at the Hospital Association of Southern California, the Patient Safety Movement, the Anthem Blue Cross Hospital Advisory Committee, and St. Joseph of Orange. Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years Anne, his three children, and his grandchildren.
