Central-Denison Elementary Students "Stacked Up" Some Fun Adventures
|
It was an intense day, but the groundhog saw his shadow on Friday, February 2nd and at Central-Denison Elementary School the students "stacked up" some fun adventures and lots of smiles and success in the gym. A special guest and Mrs. Slattery introduced cup stacking! Challenging both sides of your brain, improving eye-hand coordination, increasing your fitness levels and reaction times are all benefits gained from these speed stacking cup activities! If you would still like to purchase a set for your child Mrs. Slattery has a limited supply remaining. You can be healthy, have stacking challenges, and amazing family fun at home.

Eastview One Read Program Promotes Reading and Valuable Life Learning Lessons for Fifth Grade Students
The entire fifth grade at Eastview Elementary School spent the month of January reading the book, “Joey Pigza Swallows the Key”.
The One Read Program was designed to have all of the fifth-grade students, their families, and teachers read the same book during January 8th – January 26th...Research has shown that reading and talking about what you are reading helps students to become better readers.
In addition to becoming better readers through discussion with their family and friends, the students learned valuable lessons through the book itself.
