Affiliate Partner News
Hello Affiliate Partners,

Over the past few weeks, an illustrious group of artists, curators, writers, editors, professors, and other creative professionals have kept us busy as they adjudicate nearly 20,000 Gold Key works from around the country. We can't wait to share the fruits of their labors with you!

In the meantime, here are some other things on our minds:
Regional Ceremonies
Are you still planning your regional ceremony? Here are some tips to create a memorable moment for students and educators:
  • Invite students to be recognized on stage one at a time.
  • Let students introduce themselves to avoid mispronounced names. 
  • Read the Ceremony Guide for more best practices to ensure an unforgettable production!
We wish we could attend every ceremony to celebrate your students with you! Since we can't be there in person, we look forward to hearing about it from you and seeing pictures.

Invoices and Renewal  Agreements 
We are currently preparing the 2018-19 Affiliate Partner Agreement. While we hoped to have this in your hands today, we won't be able to send it to you until early next week.  As we move on to another amazing year, we are happy to renew our partnership!

Instructions for printing the  2018 Affiliate Invoice,  which includes both the Affiliate Fee and Submission Fees to be paid to the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, will also go out early next week.

All Affiliate fee payments and signed agreements are DUE on or before  April 1, 2018 .
National Medal Preview 
On Thursday, March 8, we will email all Affiliates a list of the 2018 National Medalists to review before Awards are announced. If there are any concerns with students in your region on this list, please notify us by March 9, 2018, 5:30 pm EST.

National Medalists will be announced March 13, 2018.
National Art Educators Association Convention
We are excited to present two panel presentations at the  National Art Education Association (NAEA) Convention in Seattle, Washington.

Join us Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Washington State Convention Center!

Save the Date: Affiliate Leadership Conference
The  Affiliate Leadership Conference  will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018  in New York City . This is a great opportunity to meet other Affiliates, learn best practices, and receive new updates for the upcoming year. More details will follow, and we hope you will be able to attend!
