celebrating a decade of handmade
the  indigenous  leaflet  ~  June  2017

Hello summertime, we are ready for some fun!

indigenous has exciting news as we plan to turn over a new leaf

It_stime to turn over a new leaf_
We have found a beautiful new space for the gallery! It's just down the street in East Walnut Hills, less than a mile away from our current location where indigenous began in 2006. Can you believe it's been more than 10 years since we started offering all of our wonderful, handmade goods? Oh, how crafty times fly.

This summer will be a pretty busy one for us. Don't fret, we are still really well-stocked with an eclectic collection of works from more than 150 artists, ready to fill your arts & crafts and gift-giving needs, seven days a week.

We do need to ask for your help with the first step of our migration. How can you help? (You're so nice, you would offer...). Shop our big MOVING SALE next month. We'd love to offer you some fantastic deals! The more you buy, the less we have to pack! Please stay tuned for more details about the sale and our schedule in this and next month's indigenous leaflet and for daily updates, please visit our facebook page.

Stop in soon to give your cool dad the gift of local & handmade for Father's Day (it's this Sunday!)

We plan to bloom in our new home at 1609 Madison Road in August!

While we have loved our time in O'Bryonville and will miss our neighbors, it feels like it is time for a change, time to turn over that new leaf. We're looking forward to joining the vibrant community of East Walnut Hills near DeSales Corner and the Woodburn business district that hosts a monthly event, Walk On Woodburn. Our new space provides us with an opportunity for a fresh look with high ceilings, huge windows, bright light, great visibilty, and a lovely surrounding area. It's easy to get to, with plenty of parking in two public lots and easily accessible spots right next to the gallery.

We look forward to making friends with all of our new neighbors, including  ~
Cafe DeSales, Woodburn Brewery, O Pie O, Argos Pet, Myrtle's Punch House, LeftCoast Modern, Manifest Gallery, Hi-Bred Vintage, Parlour, Suzie Wongs Asian Fusion, Your Friends & Neighbors, Cincinnati Bicycle Co, Palette Studios, Kitchen 452, Black Rabbit Salon, The Growler House, and more...
Plus, our neighbors in O'Bryonville, Designs on Madison, are soon moving to the area!

Moving Sale starts July 1st_
What is better than our annual Sidewalk Sale?
A once in a lifetime MOVING SALE at indigenous!

We are moving and we need your help!
Help us pack and move less by shopping our BIG MOVING SALE in July.

Find fantastic deals on our handmade works as we are offering
20 - 50% off
most (but not all) of the current selection.

The sale starts on July 1st and runs through ... well, we'll just have to say ... until it ends. As you are likely familiar with the grand depth & variety of our offerings, you know we will have a lot to pack. Please be patient with us during the sale and this transition period, as we will be organizing and packing throughout the month in order to get into our new space as soon as we can. This means our entire collection may not be available at all times. We will be closed for a short period of time and will keep you posted on our social media pages, website, and through these emails about sale, moving, closed days, and our grand re-opening!

CHASE the spirit of the tree with the newest sculptural, hanging stained glass pieces.
Please help us welcome new stained glass maker & sculptor, Beth Cunningham, to the indigenous family of artists. Adding her one-of-a-kind tree & bird designs to our dynamic collection of handmade works seemed like the natural thing to do!
"My work has been greatly influenced by summers I spent at our camp in the majestic mountains of the Adirondacks. I try to capture the gorgeous natural beauty of this region in each of my pieces. Tumbled rocks, bits of natural stone add detail along with the fine hand fabricated wire overlays. Trees are my main focus! I really want to capture the essence of hand made...like in nature, similar, but close up very different."
