Trips
End-of-Year Field Trips
PRMS always celebrates all our students' hard work and accomplishments for the year with grade-level field trips on the last day of school.

Sixth grade students have the opportunity to enjoy the movie Captain Underpants (rated PG) at the Waconia Family Theatre, lunch at Lake Ann Park in Chanhassen ( bagged lunch from home), and bowling at Bowlero (Brunswick Zone) in Eden Prairie.  Learn more here.

This year the entire 7th grade (from all three middle schools) will be going to Nickelodeon Universe for their final day celebration.  Learn more here.

The class of '21 (8th Grade) will take their turn on the whirling rides and daring dips of the midway at Valleyfair on the last student day.  Learn more  here.

Summer
PRMS Summer Office Hours
Summer 2017 Office Hours beginning the week of June 12th through Friday, September 1st:

Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm
Closed Fridays
Closed the week of July 3-7, 2017
Lost
Lost & Found
Lost & Found is located in bins in the gym hallway.  A few smaller/expensive items are kept in the office.  Please encourage your child to look through the items to find what they may be missing.  Unclaimed items will be donated the week after school is out.

While we're on the subject, now is a good time of year for students to clean out and organize lockers.  They may find missing assignments, media center books, etc. and can turn them in now.  Why wait until the last day of school?

Placement
Incoming 6th Graders: Adventures and Explorers Letters
The week of June 12th, you should receive a letter in the mail as to a suggested team for your child: Adventures or Explorers. If you would like to have further discussion about this suggestion, please contact Mary Perrine via email at PerrineM@district112.org before June 23. Include your name, your child's name, and the best phone number and time to contact you. She will return all calls the week of June 26th.

WEB
WEB Program for Incoming 6th Graders at PRMS
Families of 5th Grade Students!  As you may know, Pioneer Ridge Middle School participates in the nationwide WEB Program, an organization whose purpose is to help sixth graders feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school.  WEB, which stands for "Where Everybody Belongs," welcomes and prepares sixth graders by assigning them an 8th grade WEB Leader as a mentor during this first year.  This WEB Leader is a responsible older student who was selected from a large pool of applicants and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and positive leader.  WEB Leaders will run 6th grade orientation on the first day of school.  Your student can also expect a phone call from their WEB Leader towards the end of the summer in which the WEB Leader will introduce themselves and explain a bit about the first day of school.  Thanks for your support of this exciting program!

Bus
School Times Changing - New Bus Schedules to be Posted Early August
Adding a new elementary school and changing some attendance areas and school times requires revised bus routes. A complete list of all school start and end times for the 2017-18 school year can be found HERE. Bus schedules will be available in early August and will be posted online through Campus Portal. With the exception of special education students, no bus schedules will be mailed. Parents and guardians who haven't signed up to use Campus Portal yet can find out more on the Campus Portal link.
