Seniors should arrive no later than
1:00 pm dressed in appropriate Mass attire.

Summer Hours  

The Front Office:
The front office at Guerin Catholic will be open during the summer on Mondays through Fridays* from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Guidance Office:
The guidance department registrar is available on an appointment basis this summer. Please contact Leona Chianello, Guerin Catholic registrar, via phone (317) 582-0120 ext. 231 or email to schedule an appointment.

The Athletic Department & Spirit Shop
The Athletic Department and spirit shop staff at Guerin Catholic will be available Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. - noon.* 

Mass Schedule
There will be occasional daily Masses throughout the Summer. Those Mass times will be posted to the Mass Calendar on the GC Website as they are scheduled.

*Guerin Catholic High School will be closed during the IHSAA Moratorium week--July 2-9.

Class of 2017 Updates
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS
WE WILL SEND OUT ALL FINAL TRANSCRIPTS. Please note that our Guidance Office will electronically send out all final transcripts to your student's attending college or university sometime mid-June. It may take a college or university a week or two to log this information into its system and match up your student's compete portfolio after these items have been sent.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to touch base with your student's Guidance Counselor. Thank you ! 
IB SCORES
Seniors should have already submitted their transcript requests to Mrs. Neman for IB to submit those transcripts to your school.  Any senior who has not submitted this request should do so before the end of the year.  If you prefer to wait to see your scores first, transcripts can be requested  directly from IB after July 6 for a cost of $17.  Search transcripts on the ibo.org website.   
 
IB scores will be available online to students on July 6 around 12noon.  Students received their passwords to access their scores in April; please contact Mrs. Neman if you need another copy of those passwords.  It generally takes 3-4 weeks for transcripts to be sent to the universities after scores have been released. Many schools will use unofficial grade reports (e.g. a copy of your grades from the online site) for planning and scheduling purposes until official transcripts are received. Official diploma and course certificates arrive at Guerin Catholic at the end of August and will be distributed or mailed home at that time.

gGolden Eagle Golf Classic

Individual Registrations Now Available for the Golden Eagle Golf Classic on June 6, at Guerin Catholic's home course---Pebble Brook!!
 
Check-in for this golf scramble will take place on June 6, at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon! Closest to the pin & longest drive competitions! A boxed lunch and beverages will be provided to all registrants and the day will end with dinner and awards at approximately 5:30 p.m

2017-18  Textbooks & Guide to Textbooks
Please check out our 2017-2018 textbook list posted on GC Gateway. The 2017-2018 textbook list  provides students with a listing of every class that will be offered at Guerin Catholic next school year and the books that are required for each class. It is very important that students have their  textbooks
 the first day of the trimester so that they can actively participate and complete work on time.  
On GC Gateway, families will also find a textbook guide for parents with various options for selling current  textbooks  and buying books for next year.  Please note that the Guerin Catholic online  bookstore  offers every  book  that will be used next year, including several online and rental options.
  

 
hHost Family Inquiry Meeting

Now is a perfect time to consider hosting a French Catholic Student!
Students are fluent in English coming from the ground where Saint Theodore Guerin started her life and her legacy. There is an Inquiry Meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 6:00pm in the school office Conference Room. Students are matched by age and gender. Fall dates are Oct 14 - Nov 11, 2017.

Guerin Catholic host testimony:   Meeting and getting to know our French Catholic student, Andreas was an awesome experience for our entire family.  I was honestly surprised how sad we all felt when we took him to the airport a few weeks ago.  Our son,  Ethan is going to visit Andreas' family in July 2017.  We booked his flight yesterday. What an awesome experience this continues to be for us! Thank you so much.

techTechnology Orientation Sessions 
Class of 2021 and all Upperclass Transfer Students 

Purpose
The Guerin Catholic High School Technology Department will offer 60 minute technology orientation sessions throughout the summer of 2017 for all members of the class of 2021 and all upperclass transfer students. These sessions are designed to introduce students and their parents to the technology staff at GCHS and provide an overview of the services and platforms provided. Students and at least one parent should attend. Spots in each session will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Spanish III & IB Spanish Dual Credit
Students that enrolled in the dual credit program for Spanish III or IB Spanish this year and/or last year should follow these instructions for requesting that an Ivy Tech Dual Credit transcript be sent to their University. Grades from this year will be posted on or before June 10. Transcripts should be requested AFTER June 10th so that they will be up to date and reflect all of the earned credits. The Guerin Garden is always in need of weeding help throughout the summer! Our Guerin Catholic Garden serves the needs of our local Parishes & their food pantries. The gift of fresh produce is such a need for our communities -- your service will help fill this need! Students & parents are welcome to help weed whenever they are available.

Lunch Accounts 
The prepayment function on MySchoolBucks will be disabled on  June 5, and will be reactivated on or after August 1, 2017.   Lunch funds remaining on returning students'  lunch  accounts will carry over to the upcoming school year. 

Graduating seniors and any students who are not returning will have their  lunch  accounts deactivat ed after the last day of school.   Graduating seniors and any students who are not returning in the fall who have funds remaining on their  lunch  accounts will  
1.  have the funds transferred to their younger sibling attending Guerin Catholic, if applicable. 
2.  have the funds refunded to the parent
