Jeddo Bell Memorial Scholarship
Established by LBWCC Foundation
The LBWCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the programs and students of LBW Community College, recently established the Jeddo Bell Memorial Scholarship for LBWCC’s Greenville Campus.
This scholarship is established to recognize Bell’s impact on the communities he served through a 45-year career in education and more than 20 years on the Greenville City Council, where he also served as Mayor Pro Tem. The educational legacy of Bell, who died in 2017, will continue for future generations once the scholarship reaches the official $25,000 endowment level.
Members of the Greenville and Butler County communities wishing to make a tax-deductible donation toward the endowment should send donations, made payable to LBWCC Foundation, to P.O. Box 1311, Andalusia, AL 36420. Be sure to make a notation that the donation is directed to the “Jeddo Bell Memorial Scholarship.” For more information, call 334-881-2248.
